D.P. Daycare exists to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for preschool and school-aged children. Our focus is to provide stimulating early care and educational experience which promotes each child's social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Our goal is to support children's desire to be life-long learners of the future.

Our Services
The educational programs at D.P. Daycare and Learning were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment.
We provide services to children ages 1-12 years old and after-school pickup to neighboring grammar schools.
We are open at 6 am Monday through Friday.
Full-Time Program
Depending on your family’s schedule, our Full-Time Program might be the right fit for you. No matter what your child needs, each of our programs will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth. Feel free to give us a call with any questions!
Our Field Trips
D.P. Daycare plans numerous field trips throughout year including Lincoln Park Zoo, Winter Wonder Fest at Navy Pier, Disney on Ice, Children's Museum, Movie theater and so much more!
Summer Program
Our Summer Program has been perfect for many families. If you have specific questions about day-to-day activities or the program timeline, simply get in touch -call or make an appointment. Many of our children are with us all day or just after-school or during the summer.

D.P. Daycare and Learning
D.P. Daycare is a licensed owned business and accredited NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care), ECE (Early Childhood Education), Excelerate Civil Circle of Quality. We are certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid. If any need arises, we are able to accommodate any dietary and supplmeatry food restricitons for children.
Dorene Piggee
Owner
Dorene Piggee is the founder and owner of D.P. Daycare and Learning. She has dedicated her life to the fulfillment of early childhood learning since 2000. Before D.P. Daycare and Learning, Ms.P (as the kids like to call her) was an accountant for City Hall, worked for Marco and Investment as an analyst and a retail associate for corporate businesses in Chicago. For Ms.P, the most amazing thing in her 17+ years of dedication to child development has been to see or hear one of her students use and apply the skills that she and her team have taught them in her enriching program. Ms.P is certified in Red Cross CPR and First Aid. She is accredited with NAFCC, ECE, and Excerelare Civil Circle of Quality.
Christina Bianca Ward
Substitute
Christina Ward has been working for D.P. Daycare and Learning for five years. She received her BS in Integrated Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Throughout her life, she has dedicated a lot of time to taking care of children from her younger siblings to growing up with her mother's daycare since the age of 11. She is certified in Red Cross CPR and First Aid and NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician. Christina is dedicated to the social and emotional development of each child and make it a goal that each child receives the best care and love they deserve.
